We love nothing more than creating different and unique versions of classic british sweet treats, so when mentally preparing for the start of GBBO which is, of course, kicking off with cake week, we came up with these adorable victoria sponge macarons!!
We love macarons (who doesn’t?!) so when we decided to whip up a batch today we thought we’d go for a summer appropriate fruit flavour!
So the great british bake off is over, and nobody really knows what to do on a Wednesday night, or with their lives for that matter… And therefore it’s unfortunately the end of our GBBO weekly inspired bakes, however we’ve decided to do all the bakes from the final because we can’t let go. Yesterday was our friend Naomi’s birthday and as a little surprise for her we put on an afternoon tea party with a selection of baked goods. Although this may have caused our stress levels to rise somewhat, it was a success and we all had a delightful (and food filled) evening.
We love macarons, we love eating them, we love looking at them, we love making them. So we made some. Cappuccino flavoured ones to be exact. We could eat the coffee buttercream with a spoon but sandwiched between airy macarons make it 10 times better. Read more
